Description:
Diabetic emergencies are acute and potentially life-threatening complications of Diabetes mellitus. This presentation will concentrate on Three main Diabetes emergencies: Diabetic Keto-Acidosis (DKA), Hyperglycemic Hyperosmolar Syndrome, and Hypoglycemia.

Objectives:
• Identify common Diabetes emergencies leading to hospitalization
• Explain the precipitating factors for DKA, HHS, and Hypoglycemia
• Differentiate between Diabetic Ketoacidosis and Hyperglycemic Hyperosmolar Syndrome
• Identify the clinical manifestation of Hypoglycemia and the classification of Hypoglycemia
• Explain the proper management and prevention strategies for Diabetes emergencies.
