In 2020, we have seen a reignited, worldwide public discussion unfold about racial inequity and systemic racism. As pharmacists and pharmacy staff, it is crucial not only to understand these issues but also to recognize scenarios and strategies to actively combat racism.

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are encouraged to participate in this accredited eLearning activity to learn about the history of how we got to this point in society, and how the construct of race manifests in every area of our lives, including health care. By gaining a better understanding of social determinants of health and acknowledging the racial disparities that exist in health care, pharmacy staff can play a vital role in addressing and combating systemic racism.
