Course summary:
Knowing the language of clinical trials is important for successful communication with sponsors and regulatory authorities. This course will review common terms used in clinical research that will help participants be more accurate and effective in communicating with clinical trial sponsors and other research groups, increase efficiency of study start-up and ongoing trial management, be better prepared for FDA and sponsor audits, have fewer misunderstandings due to misuse of research terms, and build a bridge between molecular imaging and other clinical research colleagues.
Objectives :
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Define clinical research terms used by sponsors, CROs, IRBs, FDA and other research groups
• Work more effectively with clinical research partners by speaking a similar language and avoiding misuse of terms
• Find appropriate resources for the definitions and acronyms routinely used in clinical research
