In the dental setting, there are basic steps all clinicians must follow to insure asepsis during the sterilization process. Knowing the CDC guidelines as well as evidence based dentistry and best practices will assure the clinician they are doing the best for their patients. This CE webinar will review the chain of infection and its relationship to disease transmission when reprocessing instruments. It will equip the attendee with the tools and understanding necessary to assure the clinician is keeping the patient safe and minimizing risks to safe. An overview of necessary steps for effective sterilization and confirmation of the process will be presented.
