Conducting Forensic Evaluations Outside of the Traditional Office Setting: Considerations for In-Home Services and Telehealth is organized by National Board of Forensic Evaluators (NBFE), Inc..
Start Date: 12 Apr 2022
End Date: 03 Oct 2050
Description:
Need to provide in-home or telehealth evaluations?
Forensic evaluations are sometimes conducted in none-traditional environments, such as jails. Some states require evaluators to visit the homes of parents when conducting parenting evaluations for child custody cases. Due to the current pandemic, some evaluators who typically meet with clients in-person are looking for ways to conduct evaluations via-webcam. Scenarios such as these present evaluators with unique challenges and considerations. This 1-hour webinar is a discussion of ethical, legal, and procedural concerns about conducting forensic evaluations in the homes of clients and via telehealth.
Learning Objectives:
• To better understand ethical considerations of testing, and interviewing outside of traditional office setting.
• Explore the benefits and risks of conducting forensic evaluations outside of traditional settings.
• Help providers become more confident in conducting evaluations outside of the traditional settings.
