Description:
Teaching in a concept-based curriculum (CBC) presents nursing phenomena that naturally involve more than one related concept: concepts can occur together or consecutively. This webinar will assist faculty with identifying ways in which concepts may be related to one another in a CBC and provide examples from clinical and simulation learning environments. Examples of learning activities relevant to the simulation center or clinical environment will be shared.
Objectives:
• Participants will be able to differentiate between concepts that are tight versus loosely connected in the concept-based nursing clinical environment.
• Examine strategies for connecting related concepts in simulation and clinical environments.
• Identify concepts that may be connected together in the curriculum with a focus on the simulation learning experience.
