Cognitive Rehabilitation Across the Adult Lifespan is organized by California Psychological Association (CPA).,,Start Date: 11/13/2022,End Date: 11/1/2023,,Course Description: ,The Ecologically Oriented Neurorehabilitation (EON) of Memory and Executive Functioning programs train patients with neurological disabilities in compensatory strategies to improve performance in everyday situations that require attention, memory, or problem-solving. Originally developed for working-age survivors of traumatic brain injury or stroke, the programs have shown efficacy in additional neurological rehabilitation populations including mild cognitive impairment and the early stages of dementia. This lecture will provide an overview of the EON programs, the research on their efficacy across the adult lifespan, and future directions for clinical intervention utilizing virtual reality and mobile phone applications.,,After attending this Online Course, attendees will be able to:,• Identify compensatory strategies for attention, memory, and problem-solving deficits in neurological rehabilitation patients.,• Analyze available research on the role, age, race and gender moderators of neurological rehabilitation outcomes.,• Identify the limits of treatment efficacy in the cognitive rehabilitation of neurological patients.,• Evaluate options for future clinical intervention and research to improve cognitive rehabilitation outcomes.
