Clinical Education: Building a Strong Foundation is organized by American Physical Therapy Association of Indiana (APTA IN),,Summary,The purpose of this course is to provide instruction and resources to clinical educators to promote their success as a clinical educator to PT and PTA students. The focus of this course is to review the players within clinical education, clarify their identity as a clinical instructor, discuss legal and ethical aspects of clinical education, provide strategies to assist learning in the exceptional student and discuss clinical education modes that help with productivity concerns and time constraints for the clinical instructor.,,Upon completion of the course, the attendee will be able to:,• Distinguish the key players involved within physical therapy clinical education stakeholders.,• Examine strategies for facilitating student clinical learning experiences.,• Compare and contrast the various forms of clinical education implementation models including the one-on-one, 2:1 model, 1:2 model.,• Describe and review successful utilization of the CPI within physical therapy clinical experiences.,• Review pertinent legal and ethical considerations for clinical education experiences.,,Additional Details Will Be Posted as Soon as Information is Available.
