Description:
This webinar will introduce participants to the rationale for the use of conceptual teaching and learning and will discuss the motivation for the movement toward a concept-based curriculum in nursing that is happening around the country. Participants will consider how to identify key concepts for the nursing curriculum and explore best practices in the identification of exemplars used to illustrate concepts for nursing.
Objectives:
• Participants will be able to articulate the rationale for conceptual teaching and the use of a concept-based curriculum in nursing.
• Examine concept-based curriculum development and revision.
• Describe the process for selecting curricular concepts and exemplars when building the nursing curriculum.
