Description :
This Research-Oriented Career Knowledge and Support (ROCKS) web session will discuss investigator-initiated clinical trials in radiation oncology, from concept development to submission and review, to contract and implementation.  We will focus on industry-sponsored trials in this session.  A brief presentation from each panelist will be followed by a moderated Q&A.

Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Describe the process for proposal, application, and review of investigator-initiated trials (IITs).
• Discuss the potential pitfalls and challenges of IITs.
• Explain the main aspects of the implementation of IITs.
