In this ASTRO ROCKS session, an overview of the Research Program Projects (P01) mechanism by senior NCI Program staff is followed by a panel discussion with investigators who shared their P01-related experience in applying for funding, implementing proposed projects, advancing team science in support of clinical goals, developing the radiation research workforce, and as a tool for professional development and resource management at their institutions. They also shared how involvement in a P01 supported their own career development, especially in a clinical environment.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Explain tips for developing successful P01 applications.
• Discuss differences between P01 vs SPORE (P50) mechanisms.
• Discuss shared P01-related experience in applying for funding, implementing proposed projects, and advancing team science.
