Annual Meeting Learning objectives: • Critically assess performance of Vascular and Endovascular interventions and define the differences between the outcomes of these interventions compared with surgical procedures. • List methods for visceral revascularization and advantages and disadvantages of differing approaches. • Compare procedural and perioperative outcomes of aortic revascularization strategies. • Identify indications/contraindications and relative performance of interventions for cerebrovascular disease. • Evaluate the efficacy of endovascular revascularization of the lower extremity; Identify patient comorbidities that may affect outcomes in a negative manner. • List methods of improving education for vascular surgery trainees and identify areas for needed improvement. • List factors affecting outcomes of carotid revascularization. • Describe new methods of treating vascular disease including surgical, endovascular and medical therapies. • Recognize important areas of basic science research currently being performed by vascular surgeons.
