Workshop Overview:
2-Day Lecture/Hands-On:
Aligners are an ever-growing and rapidly changing aspect of orthodontic treatment. The growth of aligner has fueled patient demand for orthodontic treatment and has led to a boom, particularly in the adult orthodontic market. Despite the growth of new aligner products and companies, the fundamentals of aligner therapy remain consistent. This course will tackle the essentials of aligner therapy from how aligners move teeth, proper case selection for aligners, utilizing IPR, adjuncts, and attachments, and gives guidance on aligner protocols. We will also touch on case submission and tips/tricks that you can use to make sure aligner treatment planning goes smoothly!
What you will learn at this workshop:
• The basics of how aligners move teeth and contrast this with traditional fixed appliances in orthodontics
• The basics of attachments – when, where, how, and why they are used
• Planning and implementation of IPR strategies, understanding both how and why we utilize IPR in aligner therapy
• Tips to communicate more effectively with your aligner company and how to submit prescription forms
