Description
Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Online Course is for emergency medicine or point-of-care medical professionals and provides topics based on ACEP emergency/WINFOCUS practice guidelines. Taught by leading emergency medicine ultrasound expert faculty, this self-directed course contains fifteen (15) modules, online video lectures, case presentations, and post-activity quizzes. Enrollment is valid for 12 months (365 days) and begins the moment the participant is enrolled. Extend your online course access another 3 months with the addition of an onsite hands-on workshop or registration for a regularly scheduled GCUS scan workshop.
Learning Objectives
- Increase the participant's knowledge to better perform and/or interpret Critical Care Ultrasound examinations.
- Integrate Spectral & Color Doppler for Evaluation of Cardiac Disease.
- Perform a focused cardiac ultrasound examination.
- Perform Emergency Ultrasound Protocols for the detection of DVT.
- Recognize ultrasound Characteristics associated with Cardiomyopathies, Pericardial Effusions, Coronary Artery Disease, and Diastolic Dysfunction.
- Assess / Evaluate Right Ventricular Function
- Assess Hydration Status and Fluid Responsiveness in the Emergency and Critical Care settings
- Identify sonographic characteristics associated with abdominal sepsis involving the hepatobiliary, renal, and GI systems.
- Outline indications and applications of color Doppler in the emergency and critical care setting.
- Demonstrate the use of ultrasound guidance for peripheral vascular access.
- Outline the Training Requirements and Indications for Transesophageal Echocardiography.
