Advanced Clinical Endodontics is organized by Spear Education and will be held from Oct 12 - 13, 2024 at Spear Education, Scottsdale, Arizona, United States of America.
Workshop Overview:
2-Day Lecture/Hands-On:
Building on the concepts and techniques in the Level One endodontic workshop, participants in the Level 2 workshop will be introduced to advanced topics that will further enhance their clinical endodontic skills. This workshop is intended to give participants a better understanding of more complex clinical challenges such as calcification, tight/tricky anatomy, and ledges will be addressed along with clinical tips on to how navigate such issues. A deeper dive will be made into local anesthesia, with a particular focus on mandibular molars. Additional armamentarium for shaping teeth will be introduced to complement the concepts learned from Level One. Similarly, complementary obturation techniques will be presented to give the clinician a variety of ways to complete cases. As with Level One, there will be an evidence-based, clinical focus on providing predictable endodontic therapy. The workshop is intensive hands on.
What you will learn at this workshop:
When participants finish this workshop, they are expected to:
• Understand the role and indications of CBCT in endodontics
• Learn advanced access preparation skills including the use of ultrasonics to navigate calcified cases
• Familiarization with additional shaping instruments for both glide path development and complete canal shaping
• Emphasis on methods of irrigation, various irrigants and their importance in the successful delivery of endodontic therapy
• Additional obturation techniques to allow for multiple ways to finish cases
• Presentation of updated outcomes studies to give the clinician guidance as to what factors influence endodontic prognosis.
