Adlerian Play Therapy Techniques with Children & Adolescents is organized by Core Wellness LLC and will be held on Sep 26, 2024.
Course Description:
Adlerian Play Therapy (AdPT) is a seminal play therapy theory that can be useful in supporting children adolescents, as well as engage the adults in their lives like teachers and caregivers. AdPT can be useful in addressing a variety of mental health issues in children adolescents including off-task behaviors and trauma in individual and group play therapy sessions. This webinar will explore the foundations of Adlerian play therapy and the skills required by a play therapist to implement this approach in play sessions with individuals, families and groups.
Through lecture, discussion and experiential learning, attendees will learn fun, play-based interventions to support the basic tenets of AdPT. Additionally, participants will learn important concepts like the goals of misbehavior, the application of the Crucial C’s, as well as ways to engage parents and teachers as partners in and out of the playroom. Time will be spent discussing play therapy interventions to support children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, as well as a support for play therapy with gender-expansive children.
