This year's symposium had an overall topic of pharmacognosy which was a favorite area of Dean Schwarting's.  This presentation discusses Ibogaine and its potential use in addiction treatment.

Learning Objectives:
•  Review the history of iboga, ibogaine, and available forms
•  Describe the pharmacological properties of ibogaine
•  List contraindicated drugs and conditions with ibogaine
•  Discuss pharmacologic mechanisms and candidates for ibogaine use
