Adult orthodontic patients define themselves mainly through aesthetic needs in the visible anterior region and less through functional requirements. This also means that the patient’s expectations are increasingly similar to those of a consumer. As a result, time has thus become an important commodity in our society which we can no longer ignore in our professional efforts as orthodontists. AcceleDent enables me to treat all kinds of complex situations in my aligner cases without compromises in biomechanics and predictability in tooth movement. My patients change aligners every 7 days, although in some cases even faster while also achieving very predictable outcomes.
