Course Description:
This program is the fifth of 10 modules included in the Anesthesia Assistant Training Program (AATP). Rationale and techniques of patient monitoring during office based sedation / anesthesia are covered in detail. PLEASE NOTE: This course is only available as part of the Anesthesia Assistant Training Program and cannot be purchased individually. Course Objectives:
• Identify the rationale for monitoring patients who are sedated / anesthetized in the dental office
• Describe methods for monitoring airway, ventilation, oxygenation and EEG during office based sedation
• Identify normal sinus rhythm
• Discharge parameters for safe discharge of anesthetized patients.
