Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this application-based course, pharmacists and pharmacy students should be able to:
• Describe the mechanism of action and clinical pearls of baloxavir marboxil.
• Discuss the results of the clinical trial that supports baloxavir marboxil for influenza post-exposure prophylaxis.
• Develop a conclusion for the clinical appropriateness of care based on a clinical trial
• Identify patients who are candidates to receive baloxavir marboxil for influenza post-exposure prophylaxis.
• Compare and contrast baloxavir marboxil with other available influenza antiviral medications.
