Description:
The SAMPROTM Toolkit is designed to support healthcare providers in their efforts to engage with the entire circle of support surrounding each patient. Through these collaborations, patients receive more consistent support in all aspects of their lives which can lead to better asthma management and outcomes. This is especially true for pediatric patients who are more reliant on others to support them with the management of their asthma. This Practice Improvement Module is provided for participants in a SAMPROTM course at their regional, state or local allergy/immunology society. It will allow them to build on their increased understanding of the SAMPROTM principles by analyzing their application of them in their practices and completing an improvement plan designed to expand their use. The goal – improved care for pediatric patients with asthma.
Learning Objectives:
• Apply SAMPROTM resources to support the care of pediatric asthma patients
• Engage school staff, families, and other caregivers in the active support and care of pediatric asthma patients
• Improve asthma management in pediatric patients by engaging a wider support network for patients
