2021 Econtouring for Oligometastatic Cancer - Liver Case Library

2021 Econtouring for Oligometastatic Cancer - Liver Case Library is organized by American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).
Course opens: 05/13/2021
Course expires: 05/12/2024
Description :
Treatment of liver metastases with SBRT is increasingly common in the setting of metastatic disease and even primary tumors. However, challenges are unique to the liver include deformation of the organ itself and constantly shifting OAR both intra-fraction and inter-fraction. Target delineation also poses a challenge as does imaging on a daily basis. In this workshop, we will utilize real cases from the NRG-sponsored BR001 trial to demonstrate the contouring of oligometastases and organs at risk.
Learning Objectives :
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Identify organs at risk when performing liver SBRT.
• Discuss the issues with setup uncertainty and imaging.
• Discuss various strategies to limit/mitigate organ motion and setup issues.
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
