2020 CPIP-E Case 5: Hematology - Myeloid Neoplasms Presenting With Neutrophilia is organized by College of American Pathologists (CAP).,Launch Date: May 18, 2020,Expiration Date: May 17, 2023, 12:00 AM (ET),Description:,Persistent unexplained neutrophilia raises concern for chronic myeloid neoplasms. There has been remarkable molecular cytogenetic progress in delineating neoplasms other than chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), the most well-characterized myeloid neoplasm. The differential diagnosis, molecular pathology, and newer molecular markers that have diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic implications will be discussed.,Objectives:,After completing this SAM-eligible activity and post-test, you should be able to:,• Recognize the different malignant causes of neutrophilia.,• Differentiate the diagnostic criteria for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) BCR-ABL positive, atypical CML (aCML) BCR-ABL negative, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML), and chronic neutrophilic leukemia (CNL).,• Describe the significant morphologic features in CML, aCML, CMML, and CNL.,• Describe the most common molecular drivers in CML, aCML, CMML, and CNL.
