Susan Hollar is a Texas native who first earned her dental hygiene degree in 1975, before moving on to earn her dental degree in 1980 from Baylor College of Dentistry. Susan is an expert in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and has earned numerous awards and accolades from her peers. She has maintained a private practice in Arlington, Texas since 1982. Dr. Hollar learned much of her post-graduate training with the L. D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, Dr. Hollar now serves as a visiting faculty member to the Institute, teaching dentists the principles both esthetics and foundations for the proper engineering and mechanics of the bite.

Beginning in 1990, Dr. Hollar became very interested in esthetic dentistry and began her quest to become not only a functional restorative dentist, but also a dentist with a keen eye for esthetics and smile design. She is the first female dentist in the state of Texas to become accredited with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a testament to her exacting eye and skilled artistry in cosmetic dentistry, and one of only 320 dentists in the world to receive this prestigious accreditation. She now serves as an examiner for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (www.aacd.com), where she evaluates and judges prospective candidates for accreditation. In 2012 she became the 50th Accredited Fellow with the AACD, and is the only dentist in the world to hold this distinction and also be Pankey Scholar.

Another one of Dr. Hollar's professional passions is lecturing throughout the United States and Canada. Appealing to both the beginning dentist and the advanced dentist, Susan loves sharing the latest advances in restorative and cosmetic techniques. She has recently lectured in Vancouver, Canada, Honolulu, Buffalo, Boston, New York City, San Francisco, San Antonio, Dallas, Milwaukee, and Columbus.
