Dr. Reddy is Director of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship programs, Chief of the Section of Palliative Care, and Professor in the departments of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Medicine and Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine has been named the February 2011 Faculty Educator of the Month, Since 2003, Dr. Reddy has directed the 1-year Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship programs, in which trainees receive comprehensive instruction in all facets of symptom control and palliative care. The fellows participate in activities such as an annual conference covering issues related to end of life, periodic research conferences, weekly “meet the professor” rounds, case presentations, monthly morbidity conferences, weekly grand rounds and mortality conferences, and daily journal clubs. Fellows also take part in 2-month rotations in Houston-area hospices.
