Shih-Pin Chen is a physician and scientist who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Institute of Clinical Medicine, National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan. He received his neurology resident training at the Department of Neurology, Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and post-doctoral fellowship training at Neurovascular Research Lab, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA.
Dr Chen is currently an attending physician at the Department of Medical Research, Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and a Professor at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, National Yang-Ming University. He has served as the Associate Editor of Cephalalgia (the official journal of the International Headache Society) and Cephalalgia Reports since 2020. Dr Chen’s research interests focus on deciphering the pathophysiology of headache disorders, specifically, the clinical, neuroimaging, and molecular biological studies of reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) as well as the animal models (especially cortical spreading depression) and genomics studies of migraine.
