Sheila Leis, MS, RN-BC earned a Master of Science, Nursing (Administration), from Wright State University, Dayton, OH, a Bachelor of Science, Nursing from College of Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati, OH, and a Diploma in Nursing from Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing, Dayton, OH. She has taught in nursing programs since 2006 and for IWU School of Nursing since 2011.
Her professional experience includes 15+ years as a Professional Development Specialist at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio, a 700+ bed Magnet hospital. She has previous experience as a nurse manager (renal- diabetes unit) and has been certified in Medical-surgical nursing for over 25 years. She enjoys leadership and management. One of her passions is mentoring young leaders and helping them benefit from her leadership experience.
