Dr. Rebecca L. King is a Professor in the Division of Hematopathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is the hematopathology fellowship director and co-director of the Mayo Clinic multidisciplinary lymphoma E-tumor board. Dr. King completed medical school and AP/CP residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She completed a hematopathology fellowship at Mayo Clinic and then joined the faculty at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before being recruited back to Mayo in 2014 for a clinical focus on lymphoma pathology.
Dr. King’s clinical service includes predominantly diagnostic lymphoma pathology, as well as bone marrow, flow cytometry, and molecular hematopathology. She is actively involved in educational activities with USCAP as well as the Society for Hematopathology and European Association for Hematopathology. She has authored numerous manuscripts and book chapters on practical aspects of lymphoma diagnosis and the utility of genetic testing in routine hematopathology practice. Through Mayo’s consultative practice, she has a unique lens into the challenges facing practicing pathologists in various diagnostic settings and seeks to highlight these challenges in her courses and lectures.
