Ran Frenkel is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Polaroid Therapeutics. With over 25 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, holding international roles in various levels of executive management, business development, and fundraising, drug development & clinical operations, strategy, and innovation, his career spans the experience of working across companies from the smallest start-up ventures, through biotech and medical device companies to large Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and pharmaceutical companies.
He is a member of the executive management team of a US-based pharmaceutical company, Karyopharm Therapeutics as of October 2014, establishing the first ex-US subsidiary in Europe (Munich, Germany). Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc. is a commercial pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery development and subsequent commercialization of novel first-in-class drugs directed against nuclear transport and related targets for the treatment of cancer and other major diseases.
