A popular speaker, Dr. Sorrentino has been invited to give lectures and run education programs at more than 500 local, national and international meetings and events. He has written numerous publications on preventive cardiology, including a recent book, “Hyperlipidemia in Primary Care”.
In 1999, Dr. Sorrentino was designated a specialist in hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension. In addition, he was honored by Chicago magazine as one of the top cardiologists in the Chicago area in 2000, 2008, 2010, and 2011. He was named one of the Best Doctors in America in 2007. In 2011, he was appointed the Associate Director of the Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence.
