Dr. Madina Sukhanova is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Feinberg School of Medicine. She received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the Institute of Cytology and Genetics, Russia. She is board certified in Clinical Cytogenetics and Genomics. Her research interests are to study hereditary predisposition in cancer to identify family members at risk of development of various cancers, to identify molecular markers of drug resistance in various hematologic malignancies using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) screening, to study clonal evolution in CLL patients with resistance to ibrutinib, and to develop a predictive screening test to predict therapeutic responses in patients.
