Dr. Carcache is an Assistant Professor at FIU’s Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine. He joined the faculty following his fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Jackson Health System/the University of Miami where his main interest in the study was in the area of autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Carcache is trained in the management of child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric disorders. Dr. Carcache specializes in the psychiatric care of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disorders who may also have accompanying conditions, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, sleep problems, and many other psychiatric conditions. In 2014, Dr. Carcache began providing psychiatric care in Miami at the FIU EMBRACE program, a comprehensive program that provides both medical and behavioral health care to adults with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disorders. He is active in the teaching of medical students and other professionals in the field of psychiatry, especially the psychiatric care of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disorders.
