Dr. Kristina Elizabeth Hawk is a physician-scientist, Nuclear Medicine Physician, and Neuroradiologist. Following an undergraduate degree in Molecular Cell Biology at UC Berkley, Dr. Hawk completed a master's in medical radiation physics and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at The Chicago Medical School (RUMS). She then completed her medical doctorate, residency, and dual fellowship requirements at the University of Southern California (USC), and is now dual board-certified in Nuclear and Molecular Medicine as well as Radiology. She also completed the Presidents and Key Executives MBA program with Pepperdine University.
Dr. Hawk is the interim Chief of Nuclear Medicine at the University of California San Diego. She is also an Assistant Professor for the Stanford School of Medicine, Department of Radiology. Division of Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Hawk has held multiple local and national leadership positions and sits on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. She serves on the national American College of Radiology (ACR) Commission for Women and General Diversity as well as the ACR Commission on Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Hawk has served on the SNMMI Brain Imaging Council board, as well as the SNMMI Advanced Associate Council board and General Nuclear Medicine Council board. She is also a member of the Stanford Radiology Diversity Committee.
Dr. Hawk’s most recent research and industry consulting work focuses on artificial intelligence applications in patient-centered care and the ethical challenges in artificial intelligence adaptation. She is faculty for the ACR Radiology Leadership Institute, and is a proud member of the RADequal board, promoting diversity in imaging informatics. Dr. Hawk is committed to continually exploring the art of translating medicine and science to reality.
