System Stroke Coordinator

Dr. Jennifer Reeves-Reed, RN, received her Bachelor’s in Biology/PreMed from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. After working as a pharmaceutical sales representative for several years she decided to return to school for her nursing degree. She attended The University of Texas at Tyler for her Bachelors's in Nursing as well as her master’s in Nursing Administration. She is currently enrolled at Texas Tech University working on her Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Jennifer started her nursing career in the neurosurgical ICU at UTSW Zale Lipshy Hospital in Dallas, Texas and then returned to East Texas where she serves as the Stroke Coordinator at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas. She has also worked as the Clinical Director of the Stroke/Cardiovascular IMC as well. Jennifer recently became published in the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases for her work with improving door to needle times and is constantly working to improve the care for both patients and caregivers within the hospital and the community.
