Chris Prichard is a TRIO alumnus of the Upward Bound and Student Support Services programs at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. Chris graduated from MSU with a bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education in December 2008 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration through the University of Kentucky. Chris worked with the Upward Bound Programs at MSU as the TRIO Academic Bridge Coordinator for over 5 years. He continues to serve low-income and first-generation college students throughout the 54 Appalachian Kentucky counties through the Appalachian Career Training in Oncology Program at the University of Kentucky’s Markey Cancer Center.
Chris was raised in Frenchburg, KY (Menifee County) in the heart of Kentucky’s Appalachian region. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education in 2008 from Morehead State University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Higher Education degree from the University of Kentucky. Chris has worked with secondary students throughout eastern Kentucky for over 10 years. He worked with the Upward Bound Programs at Morehead State University from 2012 to 2018. He is currently the Program Coordinator for the Appalachian Career Training in Oncology Program at the University of Kentucky’s Markey Cancer Center.
