Dr. Novy is an international thought leader in the science of dental caries management and evidence-based dentistry. He brings a unique expertise in risk assessment and evidence-based dentistry to the DentaQuest Institute.<br/>
Dr. Novy has studied the predictive quality of saliva in relation to microbial growth patterns and serves as the chair of the western CAMBRA coalition and Vice President of the Foundation for Worldwide Health (a NGO dedicated to improving professional healthcare and health education in developing countries). He presented at the World Health Organization's Global Conference on Health in Geneva, CH and was honored with the Dugoni Award for "Outstanding Contributions to Dental Education" by the California Dental Association Foundation. In 2009, the American Dental Association awarded Dr. Novy and his dental office the title, "Adult Preventive Care Practice of the Year."<br/> Before joining the DentaQuest Institute, Dr. Novy, was associate professor of restorative dentistry at Loma Linda University, taught courses on caries management, evidence-based dentistry, dental materials, and operative dentistry, in addition to maintaining a private practice in Southern California.
