Atli Thorarensen is the VP and head of Integrated Drug Creation at Cellarity. Atli has over 24 years of experience in the field, having worked previously at Pfizer for 24 years and 2 months. At Pfizer, they led multidisciplinary teams of representatives from various fields such as toxicology, molecular sciences, pharmacology, structural biology, pharmaceutical sciences, and pharmacokinetics/dynamics groups, computational chemistry, and medicinal chemistry.

Atli has also been a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for 5 years. During their time there, they gained extensive experience in new analog design and chemical genomics. This led to their identification of potential antibacterial targets.
