Dr. Andrea Sikora is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and a Critical Care Pharmacist Specialist at Augusta University Medical Center. Dr. Newsome is a clinician-scientist with extensive experience in the translational and clinical research domains with over 60 peer-reviewed publications, over 100 scientific abstracts, two book chapters, 13 grant awards, and multiple research accolades. She is double-board certified in pharmacotherapy and critical care pharmacotherapy and has achieved the status of Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Newsome has earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research through Emory University as part of the Georgia Clinical and Translational Science Alliance (CTSA) KL-2 Scholars program. She graduated summa cum laude with her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and completed two years of post-graduate clinical training at the University of North Carolina Medical Center.
