German Society for Urology eV / Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Urologie e.V (DGU)
The German Society for Urology eV ( DGU ) is the scientific specialist society for German urology.
With around 6,500 members, it is one of the largest German medical societies. The DGU enables scientific research, the creation of guidelines and evidence-based treatment in the field of urology. The overarching goal is to ensure that the population in Germany has excellent technical and nationwide urological care.
As part of the annual conference of the DGU , which with around 7000 participants, together with the European and American conferences, is one of the largest urological conferences in the world, there is an intensive exchange of knowledge across professional groups and thus a constant updating and renewal of specialist knowledge.
The DGU is the point of contact for the German Medical Association, the Federal Ministry of Health and other health care bodies.
The cooperation with the professional association of German urologists and the joint appearance towards the institutions mentioned and the public are increasingly ensuring the success of the joint efforts.
