The cooperation of doctors and scientists, people with ventilation and self-help organizations, nurses and therapists from various disciplines, representatives of medical technology, service providers and the medical service is an indispensable prerequisite for:
• The scientific research into chronic ventilatory insufficiency and the future-oriented scientific debate on the subject of non-hospital ventilation
• The patient-centered professional discourse and the design of the out-of-hospital care situation for both children and adults
• The realization of quality of life and medical, nursing and therapeutic support for people with ventilation and their relatives
• The comprehensive design of the area of qualification and the certification of training providers, centers for out-of-hospital ventilation (DIGAB) and nursing services
• A joint representation of the interests of children and adults who are mechanically ventilated out of hospital in society and politics
