The EACR was founded in 1968 by a group of researchers who wanted to enable communication among cancer researchers across the whole of Europe beyond national borders. Today, the EACR promotes communication and collaboration among a thriving membership community of more than 12,000 members across 100+ countries worldwide.

The EACR, a registered charity, is a professional membership association and global community for those working and studying in cancer research, with more than 12,000 members worldwide.
