Lecture 2:

1- Shaping of the root canal system.

2- The biological and mechanical objectives for root canal preparation.

3- Radiographic versus electronic working length determination.

4- Single visit Or multiple visits.

5- Why Nickel titanium ? Which system ? Is it safe ?

6- Reciprocation Vs Rotation.

7- Review all the generations of engine driven nickel titanium instruments.

8- Guidelines for engine driven root canal instrumentation.

9- How to determine the size of final finishing file?

Lecture 3:

1- Cleaning of the root canal system

2- The microbial challenge.

3- Clinical strategies for managing infected root canals.

4- Recent trends in irrigation methods & 3D cleaning.

5- The ideal irrigation protocol

6- Role of intracanal medications in managing infected canal systems; when to use, which to use and how to use ?

Lecture 4:

1- 3D obturation.

2- Cold lateral compaction.

3- Warm vertical compaction.

4- Single cone obturators.

5- Single cone obturation with bioceramic sealers.

Lecture 5:

1. Problem solving in endodontic practice using CBCT.

2. Limitations of 2D radiography in endodontics.

3. Advantages and indications for CBCT.

4. Through clinical cases and CBCT recorded videos, learn how to use CBCT to

- locate missed canals and calcified canals.

- Detect vertical root fractures.

- Plan for endodontic surgery.

- Identify internal and external root resorption.

5. Acknowledge limitations of CBCT in endodontic diagnosis.

6- Endodontic emergencies.
